Theresa, I think it says 'See report'.
Did you also find the discharge certificate at Findmypast?
I've come across a record on Ancestry which lists my ancestor William
Tennant (I can confirm it is he because of other details given), but
the record falls under the heading "Royal Hospital Chelsea Pensioner
Registers of Soldiers who Served in Canada 1743-1882" - but I am (or
was) certain William never served in Canada. I have his military
record of service from the KOSB museum and Canada isn't mentioned.
He did spend 6 years in the West Indies, which is documented in TNA
and KOSB records.
What also puzzles me is, the date is given as 30 August, 1814 - but
that was when he retired from the army, and in the first column on
that sheet, under "Admission" there is something written but I can't
tell what the second word is. The first word is Sea then it looks
Can anyone help please? I have a download of the record I can send
(but I'm not sure you can see them if I post here?)
Many kind thanks
