Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I'm wondering if there is a member who will be visiting the Society
library soon, who might be able to do a quick look-up for me, please.
I've been looking through images at FindMyPast of the parish registers
for Bolton-upon-Dearne, WRY, but some of them are virtually illegible.
Doncaster Archives kindly checked the original register for one
particular entry, but even so weren't 100% certain what it said.
However, the SoG library catalogue includes a typed transcript of the
registers produced in 1943, and it would be quite helpful to know how
the entry was interpreted then.
If you can help, please let me know and I'll supply as much detail as I
can of the entry and the shelf mark for the transcript.
I am trying to find any details for a bankruptcy of JOHN JOSEPH THOMAS MAXWELL 1878 -1924. The bankruptcy took place owing to a business failure in tunbridge wells.
Can anyone suggest some sources that I might use.
