This mail list will still exist. It is for discussion amongst the CCs of
South Carolina WITHOUT the National Coordinator or State Coordinator. It is
my list created for us to be able to discuss "behind closed doors" so to
speak. It is NOT official by any means and never has been. It has been for
private discussion amongst the CCs and the CCs only. The National
Coordinator tried to take it over, and I would have gladly done so if she
had not been so impatient. We still have our list and we can still discuss.
If she wants to monitor it through rootsweb, more power to her. But we can
still discuss on this list. If you prefer, we can create our own group
elsewhere to try to keep things even more private and not archived at
rootsweb, please let me know. If we have a consensus, then I will set that
up.
Hang in there. We will have a new state coordinator soon and hopefully we
can put all this unpleasantness behind us.

I understand the need.
Certainly, every state needs bylaws, and we should see a proposal, hammer it out, and
have a vote. It's always good to have other perspectives, and those of us who are
active in several states may have an idea of what has and hasn't worked. It's
difficult with a handful of coordinators, but we wouldn't be here if we weren't
dedicated.
Disheartened and weary, but dedicated.
