Yes Thurmon. I had seen that and breathed a sigh of relief as the letter we have from
Lucinda Sackett is postmarked New Haven. So we may have a "wandering" here and
there Sackett ancestor. I still believe we are looking for tracks for a Jonathan based on

Joel Plumb, born Nov 5, 1777 married Loice Basset, Oct 12 1800
Lucinda Plumb, born July 22, 1785 married Jonathan Sackett, June 25, 1802
Lucinda also says in her letter to our James (1804-1884) that he had an Uncle Joel.
In Connecticut Private Records, New Haven Co, Deaths & Marriages, 1826-1883 listed as
“old” Mrs. Jonathan Sackett, d Dec 1, 1842.
This may be Lucinda's record of death.

Jonathan Sackett was born ca 1764 and died Milford 18 May 1849 ae 85, “New Haven Daily
Register” says he was a Revolutionary War soldier and died in Milford. He married 25 June
1802 (MC1) Lucinda Plumb dau of John Still Plumb.
If the above record is Jonathan who married Lucinda Plumb then he was living in Milford
when Lucinda wrote the letter to their son in 1839 from New Haven. That would imply they
must have been divorced. Lucinda did not make any claim to having a husband in 1839.
Just looking at the generations on the DNA New Haven charts puts Jonathan probably in the
same line as Joel born 1774, Joseph born 1768 and Abraham born 1770? (That also adds
another Uncle Joel to the mix of uncles for James born 1804 in Milford, CT.
Back to the existing records for me!
Thanks Jean and Thurmon.

I'm wondering if your Cyrus Sackett, father of Aner Sackett Scott would be
related somehow to Don's "cousin" Cyrus Sacket who was born in 1868 in
Marine, Madison County, Illinois?
(Don's ) Cyrus' father, Francis, and (Don's great-grandfather)James, were
brothers. James and his family moved to Sedgwick County, Kansas before
coming to Oklahoma. The great-great grandfather in this case is the James
Sacket who is in our DNA database with undetermined Vermont Sackett roots. I
would surely like to make some connections somewhere.
