Definitely coming, and I need a double (2 beds), since my brother is
coming, too. Are the rates per room, or per person? I don't have much
experience with English hotels, but I've stayed in lots of B&B's, and
the rates are always per person.
Should I respond to Arabella directly, in addition to this "group"
Thanks to all who have been working to set this up--it's going to be

The 2008 Reunion is scheduled for Sept. 18 - 21. We will be staying
at The Royal Harbour @ Ramsgate, which is just south of Broadstairs
and near St. Peter and Margate. The hotel has meeting and seminar
facilities available for our group and a full English Breakfast is
included in the rate. Arabella Sackett has been negotiating with
the hotel and needs a count of those planning to attend to get the
best rate. There are single, double and family rooms available. If
you are planning to attend , please respond as quickly as possible
so the hotel rate can be locked in and Arabella can get the hotel
code for our group. We have to have at least 20 rooms to get the
best rate, which is expected to be +/- L65 ($128 US).
The suggested airport is London/Gatwick. Information for hotel
reservations and Reunion activities will follow as soon as the
hotel code is available.
There will be plenty of time to visit with old and new "Sackett
Cousins" , as well as see the area of our Sackett ancestry. A Tour
of St.Peters is available for Thursday, with some social time with
the Mayor, a trip up to London for drinks and a tour of Parliament
on Friday night, for those interested, and general site seeing in
that historic area.
The Reunion is open to anyone interested in attending.
