This question came from off list with a request that it be answered onlist.
Is there the possibility that there was more than one John Lail
Would a check of the Bourbon County census for 1830 show anything?
Let me restate the question. Instead of; is there another John Lail who
existed in 1834 (there are two), the question should be; could there be
another John Lail who existed in 1834 who was at Ruddles Station in 1780
(there was not).
The other two 1834 extant John Lail's are born in 1801 and 1804, a son and
a cousin of the John Lail who was captured at Ruddles Station in 1780. I do
not see what either could have testified to.
