There are records. Of course, every person or family had different stories.
Some came home, some died on the way, some stayed in Detroit or Canada or
with the Indians where they were taken. For instance, here is some of my
Conway family story:
Most of our family returned to Kentucky after 4 years. One boy was scalped
One of our girls was taken at age 6 and kept by the Indians for 9 years.
Stephen Ruddle was taken by the Shawnee and was with them for a couple decades.
