Yesterday we had my name put on the Signatory list of the new account
opened in the Kentucky Bank in the name "Ruddell Fort Vault Restoration"
account. Since RAMSHA was the biggest donator it was thought we should have
some control. I placed $2600.00 in the account. With the $2000.00
contributed by the Harrison county Historical society we now have The $4600.00 needed
for the contractor. I also met with John Lair who is a descendant of
Matthias Lair who built the vault. He is an attorney in Cynthiana. He presented
BT with checks for $1000.00. We conducted an inspection of the vault and
discussed what needed to be done and how it could be done .Mr Lair was very
much concerned and very committed to the project. All agreed we need to
move as soon as possible. This will be started in about two weeks. There will
be an overage of about $2000.00 which will be used as a maintenance fund
and available if Dunny and BT should need it. This we were able to do without
diminishing our RAMSHA account.
Golly how can I express it. My fingers are poised on the keys
wondering how to express our gratitude. You wonderful people out there were right
on when we needed you. Thank you. Thank You.
