Don,
I plan to attend this year as a representative of the Harrison County
Historical Society. I will encourage other members of the Society to attend.
food contributions? I thought bottled water and softdrinks would be in
demand.

I would also like to get copies of these Ruddell's Mill pics as well, Don.
What few I have were given to me several years ago by Bob Francis but those
were really photocopied from some writings he had done, not digital or
regular photograph quality. I assume these would be down-loadable versions
one could acquire directly off the web, correct? Or, no? And, yes, I am a
Ruddell by descent [from Isaac through Stephen Ruddell].
My email address is grail(a)inil.com
Thanks.

Please send the Ruddell Mills pictures. My Aunt's long time friend is a
Ruddle descendent. My Aunt grew up in Lair, almost within site of the fort
and never knew there was a connection until we girls started our search.
Then in her 20's (50+ years ago), she moved to Indianapolis and met a woman
who has been her closest friend ever since. This woman did her own search
several years ago and lo and behold, she's a Ruddell. All this time and it
turns out their forefathers were in the fort together. We are descended
from. Lt. Ravenscraft and John Hinkson on one side and Christian Spears and
Ann Mary Burger on the other. Coming to the Reunion for the first time this
year. Can't wait to meet relatives and make new friends. Tamara

Don,
I would appreciate it if you would e-mail me a copy of those photos. Thanks.

Dear Don,
Yes, I too , would like the pictures to send to Corinth Christian
Church. I believe Mr. Kamper at the Boone Home in Defiance, St.
Charles Co. Mo.would like them for the archives there . The Home is now
in the hands of the Lindenwood College . A large Informational Center is
to be built soon.
As you know Stephen Ruddell met in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Francis Riffle
and that was the beginning of Corinth 1822. Mrs. Riffle's 3 brother s
were massacred by Black Hawks' Warriors in 1803. I imagine Stephen ,
Susannah and Francis had much to talk about over their meals together
. Lat er Apr. 1834 Stephen would come back to Lincoln co. ,Mo. to
marry Rachel Woods nee Nightsmith .
Many of the early families from your area have descendants who came to
St. Charles, St. Louis and Lincoln counties. The Groshongs( were in
Bourbon Co), Krohs , Lewis and Zumwalt to name a few.
Also Isaac Ruddell I believe was in the Shenandoah Valley when my
Robert McKay Sr. was there .
I will do my best to get the Ruddell information to you soon from the
Lincoln co. area.
Thank you for all you do and for preserving the history .
Sincerely June Groshong

Don, would you please send me the photo that relate to Issac Ruddell? I hope to make the reunion in June.
Thank you
