I suggest you contact the library of the Nat'l Society, SAR at 1000 S. 4th
St., Louisville, KY as they have the records of E. E. Brownell who
conducted a massive research on the family. Upon his death some of his
papers were scattered and I fear may be lost. The staff at SAR Hqs cannot
research for you but can put you in touch with one if you live too far away.
Good hunting!

Subject: [RIGENWEB-L] Clarinda BROWNELL
I have been looking (it's seems like forever) for the parents of
Clarinda
BROWNELL born January 28, 1822 in Providence, Rhode Island. She died March
21, 1892 in Brooklyn, NY. She was married to Elbert Brewster JAYNE. He
was
born December 8, 1817 in Setauket, Long Island, NY and died October 8,
1872
in Setauket, NY. Clarinda BROWNELL and Elbert JAYNE were married January
22,
1842 in New York, New York.
Their children were:
Josephine Brownell JAYNE born June 16, 1843 in Setauket, NY
Sarah Amelie JAYNE born April 13, 1845 in Setauket, NY
Amanda Ann JAYNE born January 18, 1847 in New York, New York
Mary Elizabeth JAYNE born December 30, 1848 in New York, NY
Elbert JAYNE born 1854 in New York, New York
Charles Edwin JAYNE born May 16, 1856 in Brooklyn, New York
Any help identifying Clarinda's parents would be much appreciated.
