Hi,
I have been using Legacy and like it. Easy to use, it can hold a pretty
large data base and you can download their updates from their web site,
which is usually monthly. You can download a demo from their website
and try it out.
There web site is

Is The Master Genealogist still a 16-bit program? If so, beware trying
to import a large database into same. Several months ago, I tried many
times unsuccessfully to import my PAF databases into TMG via different
methods, and at every attempt I met with a time estimate of some four
days to import same. Never did succeed as I gave up in disgust at not
being able to access e-mail during that time frame, and every time that
I tried to download e-mail, had everything lock up and found myself
having to start all over again.
When I contacted Whollygenes, the tech advisor laughed when I told
him the size of my database, and said that I likely needed a mainframe
computer to deal with a database of that size. An that was back when
I only had about 120,000 entries in my working databases.
Check out any and all programs very carefully before buying, as each
and every one that I have found has assets and liabilities.
Good luck!
