I am in the process of switching to The Master Genealogist. Not quite as
easy as some, but if you are seriously documenting what you are doing, it
looks like the best to me. I found it on:

There is a way to compare TMG to other programs, which looks generally
unbiased.
I personally haven't run into a generations limit. I have used PAF, FTM,
Family Origins and The Master Genealogist. These, in any case, take the 64
generations that I have entered.

I have heard these programs carry only 8 generations. I have 3 surnames
with
14 generations (counting my grandchildren; suppose I could leave them, my
children and myself out, still way more than 8. Anybody?? Also, nothing I
would need a physicist or brain surgeon to figure out, please!
