Happy New Year List !!
That seems like it would be a nice search function, however that's just not the way
the site is set-up. It might, however, be something you could suggest via the contact
addy at the bottom of the home page. I know zilch about setting up that sort of thing so
I don't have a clue how involved it would be. I turn on my 'puter, it works,
I'm happy which is about the extent of my technical knowledge, anything else, I go
running to the younger generation.
Make the suggestion and maybe those running the site will eventually add in that search
function. It would beat the heck out of searching every surname and looking for FR083
after it.
There were surveys done earlier in the century and most of that work has been checked by
current volunteers as you will see in reading the cemetery descriptions.
Cemeteries in some towns/cities have been published in books, some of which are still
available for purchase. The purchase info is on the site. I've never seen any of the
books but those possibly are set up by cemetery with a listing of all buried in each
cemetery. Foster isn't one of the towns for which a book exists.
For now, we just have to go with the search function that is set-up on the site and be
very thankful such a site exists. I've many non-RI ancestors and would give anything
if other states had similar sites so I could look-up my individuals and learn where they
are buried. For me, the only thing similar that I've found on line is the Richmond
Co, NY Gen Web site containg lists of individuals buried in several of Staten Island's
abandoned cemeteries.

I have been looking on the site you forwarded to me, thank you very
much.
However, can't we just type in like FR083 and it will bring up all
people buried in that cemetery????
Happy New Year All

Susan,
The site you want is The Rhode Island Historical Cemeteries
Transcription Project.
Here are addys for the site starting with the home page:
http://members.tripod.com/~debyns/cemetery.html - Home page gives
general information and history of the project, etc.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~rigenweb/cemetery/index.html - Search the
surnames master index
http://members.tripod.com/~debyns/fr_ceme.HTM - Descriptions of the
historic cemeteries in Foster. Moosup Valley is a little over halfway
down the page, Forster Historical Cemetery # FR083.

Bill,
I don't have a lot on the couple. The 2nd marriage for Cynthia to
Reynolds Kenyon was given in The Lillibridge Family w/o place nor date.
It
was probably ca. 1840, since Cynthia's first husband, James Burton
Briggs
died, 18 Apr 1840, in Exeter. I had nothing on Reynolds Kenyon except
his
name. The son of Reynolds and Cynthia, Lowell K. Kenyon, was born, 26
Jun
1843, in Exeter. Cynthia and her first husband are buried in the
Lillibridge
Burial Ground in Exeter (EX 57). Cynthia was born in Exeter. Lowell K.'s
two
sons were born in East Greenwich.

Is Capt Howard N. Kenyon in "American Kenyons" (He made
many mistakes)
and Robinson's Gardiner genealogy incorrect in the marriage of this
Reynolds Kenyon to Permerie Dye on 8 Apr 1810 in Ashford, CT.
My notes show that there was more than one Reynolds Kenyon.
I show a Reynolds-5 Kenyon b 7 Dec 1780 to William-4 and Rosanna
Reynolds. William was s/o David-3 and Mary (Potter) Kenyon, s/o
David-2
and Mary (surname unknown) Kenyon, s/o John-1 and ?.
The Exeter records, (Births, Marriages, Deaths, Vol, 2, 1774-1883, p
199) record the children of John Kenyon, including Reynolds, b 21 Aug
1786.
I am not sure that either of the Reynolds Kenyon are the one John is
asking about. The Reynolds Kenyon John is asking about married in 1840
when Reynolds the son of John was ca 34 and Reynolds, son of William
was
40. This is late for a first marriage.
John, where were Reynolds and Cynthia married? Where did they live?
Where were they born? Where was Lowell born?
