Thank you for your explanation.
I have a hard time with some of these lines, as I descend from Chesebrough,
Denison, Noyes, Palmer etc. All Connecticutt stuff.
Since the ties between RI and CT were so close, but the reference material
in different places, it sometimes is difficult.
Merry Christmas, and thanks again
Bonnie

Hi Bonnie,
The following information I have found on
Ancestry.com, but have not
personally documented.
The lineage for the Joseph Champlin you refer to is:
Joseph Champlin born about 1706. Parents: William Champlin and Mary
Clarke
William Champlin born about 1677. Parents: William Champlin and Mary
Babcock
William Champlin born 25 Oct 1654. Parents: Jeffery Champlin and Ulalia
Garde
My Joseph's lineage is:
Joseph Champlin born 4 Aug 1709 Parents: Christopher Champlin and
Elizabeth
Denison
Christopher Champlin born 26 Sep 1684 Parents: Christopher Champlin and
Unknown
Christopher Champlin born 26 Sep 1656 Parents: Jeffery Champlin and
Eulalia
Garde
>From this information, your Joseph Champlin and my Joseph Champlin had the
same grandparents and would be second cousins.
Mary Noyes parents are John Noyes and Mary Gallup. My Joseph Champlin and
Mary Noyes were married 8 Feb 1753. Mary is Joseph's second wife. His
first wife is Rebecca Chesebrough.
There is a book called the Champlin Memorial at
http://www.angelfire.com/art2/dupczak/Champlin_Memorial_2003.pdf that
provides information from Jeffrey Champlin - grandfather of your Joseph
and
my Joseph.
Merry Christmas

Reba,
I am a descendant of both lines, but have not been able to find the Joseph
and Mary (Noyes) Champlin that you are talking about.
My only Mary Noyes that would fit into the time frame was a daughter of
John
Noyes and Mary Gallop.
The only Joseph Champlin I have is a son, I think, of William and Mary
Clarke.
