Thanks so much for posting this info, we have been studying and collection
information on Ebenezer Slocum and Esther Corey and the Loyalists in Canada.
This family was torn apart by the Revolution, fighting on both sides. It is
very interesting, and must have been very difficult for them to choose
between a home they loved, a religion they believed in and family in England.
The Slocombe family we believe stayed in close contact with each other
involved with trade between the two counties. The Slocombe family went from
peasant farmers to Lords of the Manor in Somerset, England and things changed
after the Revolution. If you have not already seen my web page you might
