Subject: [RIGENWEB] Corrections and update on CLARK search
I knew that I should have waited until I had some rest before I sent
this BUT was wanting to get it out there hoping to get information
before Christmas. Here is some changes and updates on my search.
Thank you
Regina
I know a lot of you have seen my post before BUT it has been sometime
and I haven't gotten to do much research this year because of family
sickness. I am hoping someone may be able to give me just a little
information that may lead to some answers and hopefully find Richard
CLARK that was born after
1931 to Florence Edith CLARK in R I.. Florence was born about 1908 in R
I.
Florence was the mother to three other children; Blanche Laura CLARK
born March 12, 1923 at the Rhode Island State Hospital in Cranston now
known as the Medical Center, Robert Henry CLARKE born March 7, 1926
and Harold Vincent CLARK born Nov. 29, 1930 all in R I. made wards of
the state, Children's Home, 610 Mt. Pleasant Av., Prov., R I.
As far as we know Florence never married. Blanche was sent to St.
Mary's Home For Children in North Providence and was adopted by Mr. &
Mrs.. George Henry ROCKLEY on March 1931. Robert H. CLARK/CLARKE was
put in a foster home of Miss Frances LYNCH (a school teacher), and had
retired as a civilian worker for the Navy at Quonset Point before he
retired. Harold was in and out of foster homes and as far as we know
never was adopted. Richard lived with his mother Florence Edith CLARK
until her death. Florence was the daughter of Fredrick W. "Fred" and
Anna BOHLIN CLARK and had sister also named Blanche and brother Harry.
I think Blanche married a Gene FOLEY and did not have children that we
know of.
Harry married Laura E. HUDSON and lived in Cranston and was a
machinist for the Leesona Corp., Warwick for 20 years and had worked
for Brown and Sharpe Mfg. Co.. Harry and Laura CLARK had sons Robert
F., and Paul J. CLARK and daughter Catherine. All three children have
passed on last one to pass on was Paul J. CLARK May of 2004. Paul had
three sons Matthew, David and Christopher CLARK all of Warwick and
four stepsons and a daughter Catherine WISHER and one stepdaughter.
Robert F. CLARK had a daughter Nancy Ann, three sons Paul W., Robert F.
Jr. and
Bruce James CLARK.
If you have read my post before you know that I am trying to find this
information for my mother- in- law , now Betty ROCKLEY PIPES, that
turned 81 in March. With much help I was able to get pictures of her
brothers Harold and Robert. We have found three children of Harold
Vincent CLARK and know that Harold died and is buried in a veterans
cemetery in Florida. My mother in law would love a picture of her
mother and would like to know where she is buried. That would almost
be the best Christmas present I could give her other than finding her
living brother Richard CLARK that at one time lived in Cranston. I've
called all the Richard CLARKS in the R. I. phone directory but had no luck
so far.
Can you please help me make her dream come true?
Thanks so much for any help.
