Hi Bill:Rev. William Reynolds Slocum 8 (Eleazer 7; Ebenezer 6: Charles 5;
Ebenezer 4; Eliezer 3 Giles 2/ Philip/Anthony 1) was born in Warwick
Township, Hent Co., R.I. August 10, 1811, He was married in North Kingston
August 8, 1833 by Elder John Gardner, Baptsit, to Harriet Knight Capron who
was born in Coventry, R. I. January 9, 1815. He had been, for many years a
minister in the Six-principle Baptist church. In, approximately, 1881 they
were living on a farm in Exeter Township with a P.O. in Escoheag, R.I..
They had 8 children....Albert Cornell G. who m. Mary C. Raymond; Charles
Allen who m. Elizabeth Barber; John who m. Susan Pratt; Mary Elizabeth who
m. George Edwin Wilber; Harriet Esther who m. Pardon Tillinghast.; William
Thomas, unmarried at the time; Eleazer, born March 1855 and died November
1877..(not sure if I have more info on him;' Jessie Fremont who died 3
years after being born.
Information can be found in book I of the "A Short History Of
TheSlocums...etc. page 416 # 536.

I am looking for the birth, death, and marriage records of
Rev. William Reynolds Slocum. I can not find him on the RI
Vital records search engine. I found a burial record in the
RI cemetery list, as well as a couple of census records.
Maybe if I could find the church he served over.... The
denomination was Baptist.
