Joyce,
This has happened to me, too! How did you get them to remove your information???
I've been asking these folks to cease and desist for over a year, but my personal
notes, etc. are still on the website. In my case, it's on gencircles.

Hello ! Nancy ~
I know exactly how you feel, you didn't mention if the relatives were alive. In my
case they were, I also trusted someone ( not on this list ) who was very interested in my
research. I had just made an amazing break through and was asked by this person if I would
please let them review it from the very beginning. In my excitement, I went along and sent
the whole story. Because this person was researching a similar name and had a huge
database of say 4,000 names. I was asked, by this person if they could have this for their
database, at first I was reluctant but thought well why not, it won't be seeing the
light of day.
Big mistake, it ended up on WORLDCONNECT it took me a long time to get it off. For you can
not get something removed on your own you have to get the person who put it up remove it.
Unfortunately, this person cut and pasted my work and has sent it out on the internet to
people researching the same name. I found that out by talking to people by e-mail and they
forwarded me what they received from this person, not knowing it was my whole family of
all living relatives towards the end of our family tree. I read it and wept...this has
happened four times that I came across people who have received it. I think, I've now
put a stop to it...but learned a lesson. I understand how you feel, Nancy.
