I guess I don't see what the problem is. I will always freely share my
information -- after all it is simply information about my family that has
gone before me-- and as I am not their only progeny I have no more ringt to
it than any of my cousins. Just My Humble Opinion. JUDIE

Subject: [RIGENWEB] Posting family tree on Internet
I am so upset while writing this email and I don't know what I
can do
about it. I'm hoping someone can guide me. Two years ago I received
information about some of my ancestors from a person who posts on this list,
and I in turn sent him what information I had on other generations that he
was researching. I only asked that he use it for his own files and NOT put
it on the Internet. I did a search tonight and found the whole thing on a
website. I have asked the person to remove it but if he doesn't what if any
recourse do I have? Does anyone know?
I recall a similar situation happening to another person on this mail list
and now
I know how they felt. Trust is a very sacred thing to me and I can't
tell you how this has affected me.
