Just my two cents worth here. I don't have a problem with someone's posting
my information; just please give credit to those who deserve it for all the
hard work and research. I firmly believe you should never post a family
tree and let the world assume you did all the hard work, unless you did.
Of course, if asked not to post, the one being asked should be courteous
enough to honor the request.

I have made the same mistake. One person supposedly was going to help me
with
research, I have never heard from her since I sent her my family
tree.
The
other is supposedly in the same family line, so I sent her my tree
and
have
never heard from her again, since I sent her the family tree. Think
the
best
thing to do is not share the information unless you want to put it
online
yourself.
