Dear Listers,
Timing is everything. Someone sends me something and I am righteously
grateful. Then two or three years later, like a big dummy, I forget that I
wasn't supposed to give it out and I do. But there has to be a lapse of
time.
Like some of you, I have seen my own personal family history material on the
Internet, with my own special codes in it. Then when I ask how it got
there it I get strong angry denials.
So I have been on both sides of the argument.
I am just grateful that people have been so kind and helpful to me. Very
little except my novels are completely my own doing. I owe much of my
genealogy to others.
"I always depend on the kindness of strangers," Blanche and I have said
many times.
Tom

Just my two cents worth here. I don't have a problem with
someone's
posting
my information; just please give credit to those who deserve it for
all
the
hard work and research. I firmly believe you should never post a
family
tree and let the world assume you did all the hard work, unless you did.
Of course, if asked not to post, the one being asked should be courteous
enough to honor the request.
As stated,
Just my two cents worth
Mary Ellen Dickerson
