I accidently hit enter before pasting in the Index. I am resending this - I
only
received a few inquiries. I will post Vol II index shortly.
Here is the index for Vol I. "THE OLD STONE BANK' HISTORY OF RHODE ISLAND.
It was published in 1929. On the front cover of the book it say
"Published in Commemoration of the One Hundred and Tenth Anniversary of
the
Founding of the PROVIDENCE INSTITUTION FOR SAVINGS". There is an
embossed
image of the domed bank. The 2 banks mentioned in each book are the
Olneyville Branch and Empire-Aborn Branch.
I can transcribe to the list if this is alright with the list owners or
scan
in .jpg images and send individual
info at your request. Each topic below is only 1-3 pages. Please
contact
me.

I would like some help. where do I go to find church records in this time
frame.
I am looking for Church records and/or documentation of the christening of
my
4th great grandfather, Lemuel WILLIAMS on 21 March 1754 child of John and
Elizabeth WILLIAMS. All I have is Coventry, Kent Co. R.I. No church was
listed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Maggie,
So many of us are descended from Mary Dyer and or Anne Hutchinson,
would it be possible to put the pages about them on this list? I'd
love info about both ladies--my up-teen g grandmothers.
Thanks for telling us about this wonderful source--wish it could be
republished.

Hi Guys: I am trying to prove that Mary Dyer is one of mine. My
grandmother
was a Dyer - Her father was William Dyer who married Sarah Cook. His
father
was William Dyer who married Sarah Locke. From there, I am lost. Frank
Dyer
who has posted much research on this family declares my line among his
"LOST
DYERS" Wish I could crack this problem. Claire

Claire,
Frank helped me so much with my DYER family. If he hasn't been able
to
find them, I know I can't. I will keep looking for you.
