Bill-
In the 1910 the parents' first names look like William and Mary
Richard or Rickard. The name is impossible to read on the sheet where
Allen is listed, but if you go to the previous sheet, William
Richard/Rickard's
name is much more legible there.
In the 1923, 1925 providence directory Allen is listed as a deputy
sherriff
for Providence county. In 1926 he is listed as a notary public, and a
clerk
at 225 State House, with a house at Arlington.
Allen & Gladys are listed as late as the 1957 Cranston Directory -
safety
promotional officer, 52 Stevens Rd, Auburn
Hope this helps,
Lisa

Subject: [RIGENWEB] Help / Allen Hawkes
I have found Allen Hawkes in the 1920 Census for Knightsville,
Cranston Street.
Occupation: officer State Governor
Age 26
Wife Nancy Gladys Age 24
Children Maude age 7 and Doris age 3.
The 1910 census shows him as stepson age 16 with a Stepbrother
Lowell cannot make
out the Parents first name.
Looking for any information on the family. Any help would be
appreciated.
