DigitalCambria has added over 29,000 pages of Revolutionary War compiled
unit service records to Record Hunter Search (
RHSearch.com) covering 217
military units from Connecticut, Rhode Island, Virginia and the Continental
Troops.
Records are also online for Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North
Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Vermont.
Unit service records are a great compliment to the records of individual
veterans and can provide additional insight into a patriot’s service. Many
unit records contain troop movements and assignments as well as encampments
and the battles in a unit participated. The records added have not been
indexed beyond the state and unit name; however, as time progresses items
will be searchable by the names, places, battles, etc. found in the
documents.
Record Hunter, host of thousands of free records and resources for
researchers, can be accessed at
www.RHSearch.com.
Rootsweb is a great resource for researchers to assist one another; as
such, this email is meant as an informational post and not a discussion. If
you should encounter an error on the website, or wish to provide feedback,
