I'm not 100% sure of this but I think there was a shop on North Main St. in
Prov. near Rochambeau Ave. that was named
Pfeiff or Pfeiffer. This would have been before 1970.

Have you tried searching for his name in Google books? they seemed
to
have scanned and digitized issues of a jewelers' trade magazine from
Rhode Island (I've found obituaries for others in the jewelry field,
doing this kind of search.) Use " ... " around his name, and add
"Rhode Island".
