Thanks for the quick tutorial on doing attachments here but the problem wasn't with or
not with attaching here.
The online archives for this newspaper are txt transcripts & not digitized copies of
the actual paper so they aren't actual images of the articles as they appeared in the
newspaper & don't carry the .jpg extension.
Rather, I chose not to post the articles here because some of the newspaper articles
contain information on living people.
To a certain degree this information on the living people is public knowledge as it was
published in the newspaper but it wouldn't go nationwide or worldwide under normal
circumstances. It would just remain relatively local within the area served by the
newspaper. However, posting it in as large a public forum as these message boards would
change that.
So, because of the broad geographic distribution of people who use these boards who
wouldn't normally have access to these archived articles in the newspaper unless they
had the bar code off the library card of a local library that subscribes to the ProQuest
service or they made a trip to one of the libraries in the state that has this newspaper
on microfilm, I chose to limit the exposure of the living to that which one would normally
expect to happen with the publication of a news article in a local paper by sending the
articles directly to kobecancel.
For as long as I've been using these boards even I forget that down the very bottom is
the attach function. I usually just zip right down to send so thanks for reminding
posters that it is possible to do attachments here when they want or need to do so.
