I find that I will be in Bristol, RI for the 4th of July parade this summer.
I plan to take some extra days to research at New England Historical & Gen
Society as well as to local areas, libraries etc. If you have any
experience researching in person in RI, I could use some suggestions or
hints. I can spend at least 2 days in RI to research.

My supposed RI connection is my 4th great grandmother, Mary RHODES (husband
Samuel DUNTON). Their daughter Mary DUNTON b 1793 Roxbury, MA, d 1849 IL.
Mary RHODES supposedly m. Cranston, RI - do not know her parents but
published family bios, etc. claim that she was descendant of Roger Williams,
founder of RI.
Thanks for your help.
