Because of privacy laws, the only marriages & births available at the RI State
Archives are for 1909 and earlier.
You'll have to wait until after 1 Jan 2011 for the 1910 records to be released to the
Archives or contact RI Vital Records, RI Dept. of Health for anything more recent &
that will cost you $20 per cert *Ouch* so it's better to be patient & wait.
Have you tried looking at the Family Search pilot site? Even with the privacy thing, for
some reason there are files of RI marriages available for marriages past the 1909 year
cut-off. Maybe the files were compiled before all the privacy laws were formulated.
"Our Family Tree" owner: aileronlacey03 contains son Edward b. 7 Sept 1919

It also gives a DOD of 1953 for father Stephen - This you should be able to get from RI
Archives as they will have deaths up to 1959.
Spelling for Catherine's maide is also given as Valashiek.

SEEKONK, Mass. --- Marion C. Strzesak, 58, of Chainey Street died Sunday. She was the
widow of Stephen Strzesak.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Sophie (Dzialowski) Bobola,
she lived in the city for many years before moving to Seekonk.
She leaves seven sisters, Julia Gauthier of New Port Richey, Fla., Alice Kulig of Central
Falls, Jean Antuono of Cumberland, Genevieve Bouchard, Stacia Miller, both of Pawtucket,
Celia Pickett of Lincoln and Sue Perry of North Providence.
The funeral will be held today from the Lachapelle Funeral Home, 643 Main St., Pawtucket,
with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Joseph's Church, High Street, Central
Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

STACIA LANNI, 61, of 200 Woodlawn Ave. died yesterday at home. She was the wife of Michael
Lanni. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Catherine
(Walisik) Strzesak.
Besides her husband she leaves three daughters, Cheryl Bianco, Lee Ann and Catherine
Lanni, all of North Providence; two sons, Michael Lanni Jr. of Providence and David Lanni
of North Providence; seven sisters, Jennie Segal of Florida, Josephine Hart of Washington,
Sally Andrade, Edith Rapone and Helen Hanley, all of Pawtucket, Lucy D'Arezzo of
Cranston and Frances Nunes of Cumberland; two brothers, Henry Strzesak of West Palm Beach,
Fla., and Edward Strzesak of Wyoming, and two grandchildren. She was the sister of late
Stephen, Raymond and Eric Strzesak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9 a.m. at the Church of the
Presentation, Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis
Cemetery, Pawtucket.

HANLEY, HELEN M., of Eli St., Cumberland died Tuesday in North Providence. Helen was the
wife of the late Norman Hanley. Born in Pawtucket daughter of the late Stephen and
Katherine (Walasik) Strzesak. She was a billing clerk for Providence Metalizing for many
years. She leaves, one daughter, Deborah Hanley of Cumberland; two sons, Kenneth Hanley of
Cumberland and Norman Hanley of South Weymouth Ma.; one brother, Henry Strzesak of West
Palm Beach Fla.; and four sisters, Sally AnDrade of Lincoln, Frances Nunes of Cranston,
Jeannie Siegal of West Palm Beach Fla. and Lucy D'Arezzo of Cranston. Helen also
leaves her companion Albert L. Bessette of North Providence, nine grandchildren and 4
great grandchildren. Funeral from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME 68 Broadway, Pawtucket
Friday at 8 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Edward's Church, Weeden St.,
Pawtucket at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Pawtucket. Calling hours in the
funeral home Thursday 5-8 p.m.

JAMES D'AREZZO, 79, of Hollins Drive, and Gaspee Road, Narragansett, a retired plater,
died Wednesday in Rhode Island Hospital.
He was the husband of Lucy (Strzesak) D'Arezzo. Born in Providence, a son of the late
Alfred and Eva (Marcello) D'Arezzo, he had lived in Cranston for 74 years, and
summered in Narragansett for 45 years.
Mr. D'Arezzo had been a plater at the former Lowell Plating Co., Providence, for 40
years, retiring 15 years ago.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II, and a life member of the VFW and DAV, and a
member of American Legion Post 103237779, and the Italian American War Vets Post 8.
Mr. D'Arezzo was a member of St. Mary's Feast Society and the City Hall Athletic
Club, and a partner in the Special Olympics.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, James D'Arezzo of Boca Raton, Fla. He was the
father of the late Gary D'Arezzo.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave.,
Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ann Church, Cranston Street,
Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

GARRY F. D'AREZZO, 41, of Sherman Oaks, Calif., died Tuesday at home.
Mr. D'Arezzo was born in Providence, a son of James D. and Lucy (Strzesak)
D'Arezzo of Cranston and Narragansett. He moved to California in 1984 to pursue his
dream of becoming an actor.
Mr. D'Arezzo was a member of St. Mary's Feast Society, Cranston.
Besides his parents he leaves a brother, James D. D'Arezzo Jr. in Florida.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave.,
Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ann Church, Cranston Street.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.
