The Armour Bulletin - Electronic Format
The following message was received from the Commandant of the Armour School,
LCol S.J. Bowes.
"As the Editor-in-chief of the Armour Bulletin, it is my privilege to
announce the shift of this publication from a traditional printed magazine
format to an online publication. Effective this October, the Armour Bulletin
will be integrated into the Armour School web pages at
<
http://www.army.forces.ca/armour_school/>
http://www.army.forces.ca/armour_school/
The online publication will be able to offer a greater variety of content
such as videos and presentations, and it offers almost unlimited
possibilities to facilitate dialogue amongst all present, and past members
of the Corps. Given the rapid pace of change within today's Army, the
relevance of the Armour Bulletin has become paramount.
Presently, officers and NCMs within the Armour School are preparing articles
that will address topics such as Army transformation, proposed Recce
structures, and the Mobile Gun System (MGS). These articles will be both
informative and provocative - stimulating the debate of issues to be
addressed both formally and informally through the variety of fora ahead
such as the upcoming RCAC Conference, Armour Boards, and the proposed
Tactics and Training Symposium to be held at the School in January-February
of 2005, pending Comd CTC concurrence.
With the new Bulletin, it is my aim to address the broadest possible range
of topics of Corps interest. This means that all corners of the Corps -
Regular and Reserve, Officer and NCMs, serving and retired - will be
solicited for continued support to our publication.
The theme for the October Armour Bulletin is Corps Evolution within Army
Transformation. I look forward to any articles you wish to submit about this
or any other topics of relevance to the Corps. Submissions should be ideally
limited to approximately 1000 words and should be forwarded electronically,
along with an accompanying photo and brief biography of the author, to the
Editor, Captain Dale Childs, at <mailto:Childs.DL@forces.gc.ca>

Full colour pictures, video, presentations and diagrams relevant to the
article are also welcome and can be accommodated on the website. Questions
may be addressed to Capt Childs via e-mail or by calling (Comm.)
