way into Toronto?

My thoughts are that the tanks will do some good service. I think they
will be placed in an area that is close to the problem and used only
in the event that there is a significant requirement. They will not be
knocking down walls they will be engaging from a thousand meters away
while the boys are advancing. For those who think they will be in
convoys. I don't think the tanks will do that. I think that the tanks
will end up in Camps waiting to be called for rapid reaction or in
support of operations requiring a kick in the ass for the TB. As for
sustainment of Troops. The LDSH will rotate through SQNs I don't think
all the Regt's will be doing the direct fire rotations. We have been
hit hard enough. I would think that the LDSH will maintain the Tank
sqn and we will be hit for the Recce element as it comes around again.
Wow! This will be hard, but we can do it. 2009 is not that far away.

Hi,
My real concern with the G&M article and some others I've read is
that
everyone keeps saying that it'll be great to have the tanks so they
can
drive through mud huts and walls. I hope higher stops and considers
that the
Taliban were able to chase out the Soviets and I would guess they
still have
some A/T mines around that they wouldn't hesitate to place around
said
obstacles. I think we haven't seen any A/T mines yet cause they've
found
other ways to attack the LAV's.
As was mentioned below the support required would be quite extensive
but the
ammo wouldn't be that difficult to get over there.
Just my thoughts,
