Suddenly on Friday , November 22,2002 in his 87th year, at the Perley and Veterans'
Health Centre. A career soldier, he commenced service in Toronto with the Mississauga
Horse and followed on with the Royal Canadian Dragoons, the GGHG's and finally the
LdSH (RC) during and after the second World War . After retiring from the Canadian Army in
1965,he served as a probation officer with Ont Gov Correctional Svc until 1980. During
that time he commanded North Bay's Algonquin Regt Cadet Corps, was an "aide de
camp" to Ontario's Lieutenant Governor, and served as an Army Cadet League
Director. Predeceased by his wife Ada(King). He is rembered with love by his son Ray and
his brother Clifford. Fondly remembered by his grandson Antoine and family, Nancy,
Benjamin and Aimee, and by his granddaughter Elizabeth and family, Steve,Emilie, Sean and
Megan. Many thanks to the caring staff at the Perley and Rideau Veteran's Health
Centre in particular those in Rideau 2 South and Gatineau 1!
