Hello to all and hope you are enjoying the summer months!
Today, we, the Kingston and Region Chapter begin our final preparations for
our annual picnic at Oakhaven, the residence of Clive and Shirley Milner in
Kingston.
This awesome event goes rain or shine on the 31 July, and we encourage you
to bring your lawn chair, your picnic basket, your fine refreshments and
your fellowship and join us at this time. It is rumored that we will have
fresh corn on the cob from Southern Ontario, for all to enjoy, FREE of
CHARGE!
Each year, we receive donations of crafts and gifts from those within the
Association, or are very good friends of our's, who wish to make a craft or
gift contribution to our raffle table to add to the fun and success of the
day; and their kindness is much appreciated!
This year, to prevent my voice from giving out when I acknowledge those who
have donated something, I plan to have their names suitably placed in front
of their item.
Of course, there is a catch to this, I must know well in advance if you are
contributing, what you will be contributing, and the proper spelling of your
name.
This permits me to take my time on the computer to make your names, and also
tells us how many tables we have to set up for the display.
At the time of this writing, we have 12 items for the raffle table, so
please let me know if you are putting something on it.
It was nice seeing many of you in Harrow, and again at the Change of
Command; I know we will see each other soon in Acton, but if we have missed
you at the previous gatherings, we really want to see you in Kingston.
Until then, keep smiling;

The tickets for the draw this year are 3 for $5.00, and what I have seen so
far, well exceeds a $5.00 value.
