Dear friends
Jim asked me to forward a SITREP on his condition to all of you which we
were all anxiously anticipating.
First and foremost, Jim and I cannot express enough our deepest
appreciation and thanks to all of you for your warm concern and thoughts
in this difficult time. As you can imagine without going into big
details, when we got the news about the colon cancer, it hit us hard at
first, but as you all know Jim, him being a true soldier all his life,
he accepted his new condition fairly quickly and is doing remarkably
well. Your support and thoughts will continue to contribute to his well
being.
May I ask that you to pass on this message to all the friends I missed
because I do not have an e-mail address on hand.
Message:
Well folks, it is has been just over 2 months since I began chemotherapy
for colon cancer.
Last week I completed a head to toe CAT Scan to ascertain the progress
of the chemo
treatment. On Friday the 10th of February, my wife Angie received
excellent news from the
Cancer Clinic. The treatment is working. The lesions on my liver and
lungs have decreased in size and are fewer in numbers and the tumor on
my colon has been reduced. In addition, no spread of other cancer has
occurred. I directly contribute this excellent news to you all for your
toughts, best wishes,
cards, e-mails and prayers. I would especially like to thank the Dirty
Dozen, my extended
family, for their inspiration and prayers and of course the rock of the
Roberts' family my wife
Angie. Your support and love is a source of strength that begs to get
the most out of a long
and fulfilling life.
Thank you again for you taught and prayers. There will be another
progress report in the
future and hopefully I can pass on more excellent news. Take care for
now and hope all are
in good health.
Jim Roberts
