Hello Everyone,
Despite the return address, this message is from Bill & Betty Coupland
[mailto:billcoup@kingston.net] and is just being forwarded through our
Mailing List.
Happy New Year!
I hope all are starting to limber up for this year's version of the
HSMGT. For those new to our address list this is a "Blackhat" family, fun
golf day, where we do our utmost to renew and make new acquaintances. On
this day we start with some spectacular golf on the Smith Falls Golf and
Country Club Course and end with a fine dinner and a few prizes.
From my last e-mail of 2002 please correct where I said "40" for a
shot-gun start and insert "100." The Club is firm on the 100 figure for us
to have the shot-gun start. Last year we had 89 so this year gang let's
make it plus of 100. A special thank you to those who brought this error to
may attention. As Henry would say, "lad you have to pay attention to
detail."
Bob Billings did considerable work in researching possible changes to
our prize programme. I will include his message for your consideration. I
will be returning from working on the driving range in a warmer climate
early in March and would appreciate any comments you may have. My only
thought at the moment is that we must keep the day within the financial
range of any trooper than may wish to play. I realize that we must organize
our prize presentation in a manner that those with long distances to travel
can get away quickly.
Next message in March. Take care, Bill
