Good Morning All,
Having just returned from Ironsides in Kingston we learned that this years registrations
have fallen behind that of reunion 05.
According to Tom Horgans records as of the 19th of February 05 there were 95 pers
registered. At this point we have 47 registered people. At this rate we are in for a
disaster. All the hard work and preparations of the committee will have been for not.
The committee has been at work since August 2005 everything is complete we only need to
dot the "i's" and cross the "T's" but that can't be done
until we know who will be here.
Sit-reps are posted on the Regimental web-site along with the names of your friends that
are registered.
Please visit there and see what the committee is trying to do for you.
A short run down:
(1) caterer has been hired
(2) Band hired [ diner dance]
(3) Gifts have been purchased for all in attendance
(4) The GGHG Band will provide music for the rededication
of the Boer War Monument Saturday afternoon.
(5) The RCR Association will join us for the rededication ceremonies.( this is significant
because these two fine Regiments fought side by side then and are once again to-day side
by side in Afghanistan.)
(6) All transportation needs have been met
(7) Guest speaker has been arranged
(8) Tom Skelding was in Windsor two weeks ago but can't
complete parade arrangements until he knows who will be in attendance.
As you can see everything is now in your hands. Please if you have plans of attending send
in your registrations ASAP we need to know who and how many will be here.
I am certain that you will not be disappointed in the efforts of the Windsor and area
Dragoons.
