Dragoons,
I am happy to announce that my selection committee and I have chosen Wilmer
Fice as our candidate of choice to be accompanied by his 54 year old son to
represent our Regiment in Holland in early May on the official Canadian
delegation.I will officially submit his name to Veterans Affairs in the next
few days. Thanks to all Chapter Chairmen for your help and particular thanks
to Chris Sproule and Norm Wood. There will be approximately 400 people in
the Government party for this trip (plus a DND guard and band contingent of
some 200) including 128 vets and an equal number of personal caregivers.
Each unit that served in Holland will have one member selected with a
caregiver subsidized to go.
