MARY AND I ARE DEEPLY SADDNED TO HEAR OF
ED'S PASSING. WE WILL REMEMBER THE MANY REUNIONS AND GATHERINGS WE HAD OVER THE
YEARS TOGETHER WITH LASTING HAPPY MEMORIES. IT IS WITH REGRET THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO BE IN
ATTENDANCE FOR ED'S FAREWELL
AS WE ARE IN NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA HELPING WITH OUR DAUGHTERS RECOVERY FROM A VERY
COMPLICATED GALL BLADDER OPERATION.
THE SURGERY WAS DONE AT LANGLEY AFB BY A MILITARY SURGEON, WHO I SUSPECT RECEIVED HIS
QUALIFICATION FROM WATCHING RERUNS
OF MASH

It is with sadness I report on the death of Ed Cheney of a heart
attack at his home in Bobcaygeon On on 4 Mar 07 at
age of 82, Ed was one of our most reliable members who never announced his attendance
for a function, but always
showed up. Ed spent his life in the military and was known by all armoured corps
personnel. He served during WW 2 and
with NATO and UN Forces.
Ed is brother of Laura Jackson of Toronto and the late William,
Harry and Phyllis.
Condolenses to the family can go to Linda Jackson (niece) 1608- 30 Carabob Crt,
Scarborough On., M1T 3N2....He will be
missed by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral has taken place with interment at Pine Hills Cemetery in Toronto on Saturday
March 17th.
