The Prince of Wales would very much like to give a reception this year for
Second World War Veterans from his Regiments. It is planned that it will be
held in Central London at lunchtime on Wednesday 6th July and precise
timings and the confirmed location will follow in due course. The event
will be held during Veterans Week.
The Reception will be attended by about 500 guests with each veteran being
able to bring a spouse or guest. The purpose of this letter is to give you
advance warning and to ask you (the RCD Association) to nominate 15 veterans
accompanied by up to 1 guest each. The veterans should have served in the
Second World War in the Regiment, or indeed one of the Regiments
antecedents.
RCD WWII vets who would like to travel to England to to have lunch with the
Prince, at their own expense, are asked to submit their names to the
Colonel of the Regiment via caddy(a)sympatico.ca Christopher Sproule
