I wish to pass o m condolences to the Family. through your kind avenue. I am sure I am not
alone in remembering how in Fort Beausejour in Germany in 1957-58 those people who came in
contact with Capt Lindsay; the Regt’l Sigs officer remarked that that young fellow would
go a long way in his Army career as he was considered to be a comer. Boy!!! did he ever,
All the way to Chief of the Defence Staff and all Dragoons congratulated him every inch of
the way. I might mention here, although it might not be aproppiate that his side kick on
the way to the Staff College was Mort Wiseman; also a Capt and a popular Dragoon officer
who also made it to the rank of Major General where he was a defence attache at the
Pentigon along with Major( ex Lead trumpeter in the first Dragoon Trumpet Band) Andy
McLean. There must be something in the WATER that Dragoons drink, when you think how many
of a single Regt reached the top. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from an old Dragoon
Godon Woollard. guess i touched too many bases here but tempest fugit and my memory
fades.
