One my Cleaton father's aunts married a Sid Jarman at Newtown many years
ago.
They later lived at Glanhafren farm just north of Newtown. Sadly one
of
their
great grandsons died near Newtown last year. I had never met them,
being
far
away for 40 years. Jarman and Jerman have the same root it seems, and
perhaps
with German too?

I Dennis I have Jarman in my family I have not found out what relation
they are to
me yet, I have a Humprey Brown who was living with my G G
Grandfather David Edwards wife name Mary Brown, on the 1851 census Humprey
was sp on 1861 census he was lg what sp means I have know idea. Humprey
married Margreat Jarman in Bethal chaple Newtown 11/12/1869, on the marriage
certificate Humprey dad John Brown deceased, and Margret dad Daniel Jarman
farmer. Humprey was a widower living at Cwmbellan Llangurig. Margaret was a
widow living at Birthlloyd Llanidloes. They both had children,

Mary Jarman sd 19
John Brown so 10
Thomas Brown so 8
Evan Brown so 7
Humprey was working with my G Grandfather Simon Edwards at Bryntail lead
mine in Llanidloes so there must be some sort of relationship between them.
I don't know if they are relataed to you Jarman family from llanidloes.
