I think I have found your Gethin family on the census for Newtown PRO
ref HO
107 2497. They are in the parish of Llanwyddelan (Folio 425 p.5)
living
at
Bryncoch which would appear to be a farm of some 140 acres. They
are as
follows
Richard Gethin H,47 b. Tregynon , farmer
Mary W 43 b. Llanwrog
Children Mary,19, Margaret,17, John,15, Thomas,14, Edward,12, and
Hannah,11, all born Tregynon
Children David,9, Catherine,5, Evan ,3, and William 11 M all born
Llanwyddelan
There are also some other Gethins in the parish of Worthen who could be
related. Let me know if you want these as well
