Hi Gareth,
I have Valentine's sister Martha married to Richard Jerman, who
was a
brother of the Daniel Jerman who married Elizabeth Stephens
Thanks, I didn't know that. I have Richard Jarman, presumably the spelling
came from a different source. Any parentage known?
As for Elizabeth, I have Valentine as one of six children
Valentine Ashton who married Martha Jerman was one of thirteen children but
several died young:
Elizabeth 1768?-1861 married 1789 David Jarman who farmed Cae-Iago.
Edward 1769-1771.
Anne 17 Jan.1771-_?_ married 1794 John or David Jarman (different sources)
of Belom?
Valentine 12 Feb.1773-7 Apr.1845 married Martha Jerman farmed Maesyblawd
according to Vera Jones.
Mary b.1774? married Owen Tudor about whom I know nothing.
David Jan.1777-Dec.1777.
John Oct.1778-13 May 1823 married Anne Benbow about whom I know nothing.
Margaret Mar.1781-Sep.1781.
Margaret 1782?-_?_ married John Mills b.4 Oct.1784 at Pwllglas and died at
Bwlchyrenwin, grandad to 'foundry John Mills'.
Jane b.2 Oct.1785-_?_ married Robert Brown of Cymo Bach.
Hannah b.29 Feb.1788 - Dad's executor - shared £138 with brother John.
Dorothy Sep.1790-Feb.1792.
Edward 20 Mar 1792?-7 Feb.1800.
The parents of Valentine 12 Feb.1773-7 Apr.1845 were Valentine Ashton 17
Jan.1731-3 Feb.1820 of Pant? and Elizabeth Lloyd 1742/6?-Dec.1818 of
Cefnbarrach. His mother's older sister Mary, Jun.1742-Oct.1829, married
Charles Davies, 1737-1803, of Rhyd-y-carw mansion, Trefeglwys, and her
younger brother Owen Lloyd, Oct.1748-Jul.1824, married Anne Davies,
-unknown, while another one John?/David? Lloyd married Elizabeth Ashton of
Geseilfa farm, Trefeglwys, and then farmed Glynhafren.

Not yet, and I'd appreciate your Daniel Jerman's siblings and ancestry too
if you have it.
I have Daniel Jerman 1750/1-1842 married Elizabeth Stephens 1755?-1793,
farmed Glangwden, Trefeglwys and produced Martha 1777?-1855. - I would
appreciate any other siblings you have as colateral to my ASHTON line:
Valentine Ashton 12Feb.1773-7 Apr.1845, married (1796/7) Martha Jerman
1777?-22 Jul.1855, farmed Maesyblawd, Trefeglwys and produced Daniel,
1797/1801?, eldest? of nine children.
Daniel Ashton 1797/1801?-Oct.1868 married Anne Jones 1801?-Jul.1838
(different source says Martha Jones) farmer & innkeeper at 'RedLion', Bont,
Dolgadfan, Llanbrynmair and produced John, 2 Feb.1831 - fourth of seven
children.
John Ashton Feb.1831-1911? married Margaret Richards/Griffiths?
1834-1890/99? Bootmaker at Llanbrynmair, organist at C-M chapel,
Machynlleth, produced Daniel, approx 1850.
Daniel Ashton, unknown dates, married Maria (May) Loader, unknown, maybe

Thanks Tony,
I had forgotten we had corresponded before about these and you helped me
with a couple of Ashton queries - I've been away from this for a while.
I haven't got any more on Valentine's wife other than she was Mary. I
have Valentine's sister Martha married to Richard Jerman, who was a
brother of the Daniel Jerman who married Elizabeth Stephens in 1776.
However, I don't have any children recorded for Martha and Richard,
other than a note that they had some. So Edward might be one of them.
As for Elizabeth, I have Valentine as one of six children, but only have
further children for his brother Edward (b.1761), who produced the D+D
children with cousin Anne. But you probably know more about this than I
do.
Incidentally, did we previously establish before our own link through
Daniel Jerman (my 5xG Grandfather) who married Elizabeth Stephens in
1776?
