Hi Mike
Go to the Powys FHS web site
www.rootsweb.com/~wlspfhs
All publications are listed and may be ordered on line at
www.parishchest.com
This will at least allow you to narrow your research.

Subject: [POWYS] Welsh research advice please (Builth)
I'm an experienced researcher - in England - but a total novice
when it
comes
to Welsh church and chapel records.
I'm looking at STANTON of Builth (and nearby Llangammarch) as is another
researcher now resident in Kent. I've searched all the censuses and built
up
an initial database and now need to search church and chapel records.
I
need
to know of all the church and chapels in Builth and Llangammarch (my
elderly
mother-in-law b. Llanwtryd can't remember them all) together with
details
of
the availability of their records and how they can be searched from
afar
without employing a local researcher (which I can't afford) although I'm
happy to purchase fiches if available.
I intend to order films of the following from LDS:
MIs of Alpha Chapel, Ebenezer Chapel & Memorial Baptist, Horeb Chapel & St
Mary's Church of Wales.
Horeb b/bpt 1805-1837
Alpha b/bpt 1811-1837
St Mary's BTs 1687-1841 bpt/m and marriage bonds & allegations 1686-1867
What have I missed? That is a lot of films and wonder if any have been
transcribed and what might be available on internet.
Advice appreciated please.
