In extracting the IGI records you should be aware that they are not
complete, they only contain what the local Churches allowed to be abstracted
and what has since been added by individuals. Patronymics can be confusing,
if you are able to gain access to the forename index this would be much
easier to use, providing, of course, you know which forenames you are
seeking.
As far as MIs are concerned you will only find listed those that have
survived the rigours of time and are still decipherable, also many people
did not have headstones as they could not afford them, so again, your search
will not necessarily be complete from these records.
