Hi Julie,
In the 1861 census are two Ann Davies who might be the widow of William
First.
4221 Folio 10 Page 14
Ann Davies Head Widow 64 Born Llangattock BRE, living Penllaw Fach
Thomas Davies, son, unmarried, 24 coal haulier, Llanelli BRE, Penllaw Fach
Secondly
4209 Folio 27 Page 13
Ann Davies head widow 63 carrier, Glandulas BRE Neuaddwen
It would be worth checking for a marriage in Llangattock and Glandulas.

Subject: [POWYS] William/Thomas Davies
Would anyone on the list have access to the 1851 census records for
Brecknock: Defynnog
I am still trying to find a marriage cert for William and Ann and
also a
birth cert for Thomas. I have been to the Library of Wales but was unable to
find any records matching my family.
Here are the details of them in the 1841 census.
Here is the entry for the 1841 Census
> Dyffynog HO107/1367/3 Folio 6 Page 3.
> Penyrheol
> William Davies 44 Weaver Born out of Parish
> Ann 43 Born in Parish
> Elizabeth 19 "
> Ann 15 "
> David 9 "
> Thomas 7 "
> Mary 4 "
I know that in 1851 Thomas is staying with his uncle Howel in Dowlais
and I am hoping that because at some stage he moved to Rhos Neath that not
all the
family went up to Dowlais, they were not in the same house as him on
the census records.
If he moved up there because his father had died then hopefully I
will
find his mother and his younger sister still in Defynnog.
Also where exactly is Penyrheol in Defynnog.
Thanks in advance.
Julie (now getting rather desperate)
