Venita - If you're talking about the LDS extractions on the IGI, then 1813
was about the year they stopped using patronymics.

Subject: [POWYS] Patronymics in Vaynor?
Hello,
I'm revisiting this part of the forest, finally. The available extracted
records begin in 1714, but the available images begin in 1813. From 1813
on, there isn't any evidence of patronymics being used, except on rare
occasions. I'm not so sure about the earlier records - it's very hard to
tell with extractions. Can anyone give me a hint? I'm assuming that Vaynor
was a fairly rural parish until the influx of people for mining, steel
making, etc. My guess would be that patronymics would be common before the
influx , but I could be wrong.
All feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Venita
