Hi All,
I have corresponded privately with Robert, but the relevant part of my
answer to him is copied below for all to share.
The book is an almost A4 size with about 120 pages.
The main chapter headings are
A Mountain with a Past
The Drovers,
Daily Life
Chapel, Church & Community
Schooling & education
The Evictions
The Last Days
It borrows heavily from "Epynt without people" and I would say that it is
largely an attempt to bring the contents of that book to a new audience,
with some new historical details which the author has found from
documentation etc. There is no index.
Hope this helps
Hilary

Subject: [POWYS] Epynt Range
Hello,
My great grandfather was born Merthyr Cynog and lived on the Epynt. He
immigrated to the US in 1882 so was not there when much of the Epynt was
turned into a military range. Many relatives of mine where there at that
time.
I have read Epynt without people by Ronald Davies and his follow up book.
Has anyone out there read An uprooted Community: A history of Epynt by
Herbert Hughes??
Kind Regards
Robert Price
