I am researching William LEWIS (d 1742) and he mentions in his Will
"...settlement of my estates called Clanhavron and Tuy(?)
YnGheoen(?) Aere lying and being in the parishes of Newtown and
Llanllwihaiarn in the County of Montgomery".
I am looking for any information on where I can pinpoint these
areas. Any assistance gratefully received.

Auckland.
The first is very likely to be Glanhavren, the anglicised form of Glanhafren.
glan = bank
Hafren = Severn (The river Severn flows through Newtown.)
Here's one Glanhafren address: Glan Hafren, Pool Road, Newtown SY16 3AN
The second place-name is quite badly mangled. Could you send me a
scan of a portion of the will containing the name and a few
surrounding lines?
The parish is Llanllwchaiarn.
