Glad you enjoyed Hay. Sadly Kilvert's biographer, David Lockwood who was a
neighbour, passed away recently. Well worth getting hold of David's study of
Kilvert's life if you are interested. From a "Hayseed".

Hi All, This is a temporary subscription passing the last few hours away in
Wales. While I was in Clyro I read Rev.Francis Kilvert's "Journal of a
Country Curate." Anyone with an interest in the area (Clyro, Hay and beyond)
1870-1879 should really read it. It may well be read by all on the list but
it was news to me.My visit to Hay was excellent......I had no news on the
name Cole but there was a mention in the book. I couln't find the Lovett
burial in Hay but I took a few baptisms with that name down. I have one
Gwilliam baptism.I couldn'tfind a Benjamin Thomas b.1808-1810 but if he had
a sister Charlotte ...I took a note of her parents just in case. I'll reply
fully to all tomorrow.Churchwarden in St Mary's was brilliant.Great
town, great people and a great time had by all. speak soon, Kevin.
