Subject: [POWYS] Bettws-y-Crwyn 1871 MANTLE
Hello
I have (hopefully) found my gt, gt, gt grandparents in
the 1881 census at Honey Meadow, Bettws-y-Crwyn.
John Mantle aged 52 born Llanbister (1829)
Mary Mantle aged 62 born Kerry (1819)
John Mantle aged 13 born Bettws-y-Crwyn
(stepson)(1868)
Would anyone be able to confirm that in the 1871
census a daughter, Jane Mantle aged 8 or 9, is living
with this couple. Jane was born in Bettws-y-Crwyn in
1862 so I imagine they were there through 1871.
Jane was my gt, gt grandmother but was married before
1881 so is not with her parents. At the moment I don't
know if she had a brother John but the 1871 entry may
confirm this.
Thanks for any help and information anyone can
provide.
Kind regards,
Natalie
